Noise captured in search for Titan submersible

According to an internal U.S. government memo, banging noises have been captured. This gives reason to hope that the crew of the Titan is still alive.
The noises were reportedly detected by a Canadian P-3 aircraft, prompting resources to be moved to explore their origin. A vessel scheduled to investigate was diverted to assist in the search for the acoustic echo.
The U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Air Force are deploying aircraft and ships to assist in the search for the submersible.
On Tuesday, France announced it was joining the search operation. The French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea (Ifremer) has dispatched its vessel Atalante, equipped with a Victor 6000 underwater robot, to search for the Titan.
Atalante is due to arrive in the area at 8pm on Wednesday. Victor 6000, piloted from Atalante, can dive to a depth of 6,000 meters.
Hopefully, the crew will be found before they run out of oxygen. They have been missing since Sunday. The countdown is on.
