Drug Seizure by Moroccan Customs
On April 21, Moroccan police and customs made a major drug seizure. About 60 kg of cocaine were discovered in a refrigerated container in the port of Tangier Med.
The cocaine was wrapped into tuna entrails. The drugs came from Ecuador and was destined to Spain.
Interpol opened an judicial investigation in cooperation with prefectural service of the judicial police of Tangier.
On April 22nd, one day after the first, 5,5 tons of cannabis resin were seized in the same port aboard a truck, towards Spain.
According to the United Nations, Morocco is the leading producer of cannabis resin. In recent years, significant seizures have been made.
