Korean Tanker Sinks in Taiwan Strait

The Kelsey 2, a South Korean-flagged oil and chemical tanker sank in rough seas 25 miles south of the Wuqiu Islands in the Taiwan Strait on Saturday, October 15.
Nineteen of the crew were successfully rescued while the ship’s Burmese chief officer is the incident’s lone fatality. However, details on the cause of his death have not yet been disclosed.
