1) What is your job in the Maritime industry ?
I have yacht brokerage Zova Yachts and I have recently become a
captain after workouts as stewardess to collect needed sea time
2) Where are you from and where you working at the time ?
I m from Czechia, I have my own company and I m free lance.
3) Since how long are you in the maritime industry ?
Since Aug 2020
4) Why did you decide to work in maritime jobs ?
Cause I love sea, sea life, boats, water sport and everything about it !!
5) What is your best experience at sea ?
Best is when you take boat out with friends, catch fresh fish, prepare sea food & drinks right on the boat and seeing everyone having a great time.
6) What is your worst experience at sea ?
It’s always not nice when people get too drunk and start arguing or fighting on the charter.. or acting inappropriate.
7) Can you tell us about maritime evolutions you have noticed since your working (environmental, security… )?
Coast Guard is giving us hard time sometimes and coming up with lot of rules, but if you follow you shouldn’t get into troubles.. regarding environment I think it’s pretty good and FL really cares about our sea and sea life, its only again just bad people visiting or moving in who’s disrespecting it by littering.
8) What is your daily routine and hobbies to be happy on board ?
I like when is boat clean inside as well as outside, so crew which takes a good care. Also to be lucky with nice weather is important to be happy on the board.
9) What is your expectations for the maritime industry evolution ?
I would like wages for people who works in the industry were a bit better and more equal. As there are vessels with no shame to offer very low wages which isn’t good since there are experiences and qualification requested. I also hope that more people coming to visit Miami will realize that spend couple thousands $ on yacht rental and day on the sea is better that spent same amount of money for table in the club.
