Tanker Seized by the Islamic Republic of Iran ‘s Navy

On April 27, the US Navy announced that Iran had seized a tanker flying the Marshall Islands flag in the Gulf of Oman.
They called on Tehran to immediately release the tanker ADVANTAGE SWEET, which was seized by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s navy while it was off the coast of Oman after leaving Kuwait for Houston, USA.

The United States regularly denounces Tehran’s actions in this particularly strategic maritime zone, which is an exclusive shipping lane to connect the Gulf countries to world markets.
