On 23 and 24 January, the Bulgarian Navy neutralised two drifting mines in its waters. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine have destroyed some 40 drifting mines in the BlackSea.

On 24 January, the cargo ship TUZLA (Vanuatu flag), operated by a Turkish operator, was hit by an explosive charge in the port of kherson , where it had been stuck since February. There were no casualties on board the vessel, which suffered damage from the explosion and subsequent fire.

A dozen Turkish ships have been stuck in the Ukrainian grain port since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
